I brought these Calmers as a misophonia sufferer (Selective Sound Sensitivity Syndrome) and whilst not primarily designed to specifically tackle misophonia, I find that these Calmers do reduce the sensitivity to miso.trigger sounds. You do need to give them time in order to really notice the difference, though - they're not something you put in your ears immediately & notice an obvious change straightaway, they work much more subtly than that. Wear them frequently throughout your daily life for a few months (particularly during situations you know that you are sound sensitive to and during times when your misophonia sensitivity is high) & then try going about daily life without them - you will notice the difference dramatically!
I actually brought my 1st pair of Calmers a few years ago but then I lost the one to the right ear just last month - I was horrified! I found that I couldn't face life without them! So I ordered my 2nd pair & chose the silicone-band-connected pair this time (these were previously unavailable when I purchased my 1st pair). I must say, 'though, I prefer them without the connector-band - they're much more discreet without the x2 silicone threads visibly dangling from your earholes, ha ha! So I'm about to order my 3rd pair, another unconnected pair to replace my original one for the R.ear which I lost :-( Because Flare audio Calmers really do work! Walking down a busy road is intolerable to me now without my Calmers. They really do calm things down if you're sound sensitive, just give them (& yourself!) a bit of time & patience before you really notice the full effects: it is a subtle yet incredibly powerful calming effect that they have upon you, especially if you're a sound sensitive person.

My daughter has struggled for so long in class, she wore these for two days and noticed a difference with lack of background noise.
I've only had them a few days and do feel less agitated when around noise that cause me problems - people eating , smacking lips , scraping spoons , I wore them a full day as advised and no pain in my ears like when I wear ear plugs , only negative is the pouch as I could do with box type as it opens a lot and worried I'm going loose them

CALMER TECHNOLOGY
Calmer reduces resonance (distortion) by using a tiny waveguide inside our ears that removes the effect of the Concha. The Concha is the small shell shape that connects to our ear canal which normally resonates mid frequency sounds.
By removing this resonance, Calmer dampens the most common alert-triggering noises such as phone alerts, dogs barking, tube trains, slamming doors and sudden loud vocal noises. Also, mid frequency sounds have none of their normal painful aspects.
